December 31st, 1969
- As celebration for living 50 years I’ve decided to cycle cross country. I’ve wanted to ride cross country for some time, but it wasn’t until Brett at Caster’s bike shop in Rhode Island mentioned that he planned to return to PACTour this year, also for turning 50, that I checked in with my wife, Kathy, and with my staff at my veterinary ophthalmology practice for their support. Being away from Kathy, Iris, Drummer, Cal, Tut and my practice for a month will be very different as I’ve never been away from my practice or family for more than a week at a time in the 15 years of the practice and 22 years of marriage!! Well, here we go….
